Computer Science professor develops cybersecurity research program

Dr. Brad Glisson, Associate Professor of Pc Science at Louisiana Tech College, has designed the Cybersecurity Info Engineering Exploration (CITE) investigate team to provide a location for learners, lecturers, and marketplace professionals from numerous disciplines to share their experiences in cybersecurity.

The team collaborates with other Nationwide Facilities for Tutorial Excellence in Cybersecurity and hosts weekly talks on cybersecurity and personal computer science subject areas and ensuing research through the academic calendar year and offers a location for individuals from various stages in their careers to existing present exploration routines, brainstorm long run analysis things to do, and clear up actual-earth issues.

More than this Spring Quarter, the study group has held talks on the results of residual data in modern society, ransomware on the Oculus, subject-programmable gate arrays, knowledge breaches in monetary establishments, and cellular application exploitation with ad spoofing.

CITE will maintain two much more displays this spring. On May perhaps 16,Daniel Miller, Methods Professional at the College of South Alabama, will present “Toward Digital Forensics for 3D Printers,” and on Could 23, Dr. George Grispos, Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, will existing “Towards a Stability Testbed for Agriculture Automobiles and Environments.”

Both presentations will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Built-in Engineering and Science Making 216.
