Preserving Black society on the web is subject for JC Library’s Urban Library Leaders
When the City Library Leaders sequence released in 2020, it designed a place for urban library pioneers and innovators to share the successes, difficulties. and the importance of libraries as group institutions.

The sequence now proceeds into 2021 when Jersey Metropolis Cost-free Community Library Director Jeffrey Trzeciak hosts “Urban Library Leaders #4: Documenting the Black Web” on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m.
Trzeciak will be joined by visitor Makiba J. Foster, manager of the African-American Study Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC) in Fort Lauderdale, FL, a branch of the Broward County Library. The webinar will be held on Zoom progress registration is needed at bit.ly/JCLibraryULL4.
Foster’s challenge, “Archiving the Black World-wide-web,” is a electronic archive documenting the diversity of Black society and written content identified on the internet.
